The original inspiration for this program was a program written in gwBasic by Bill Brown, WB8ELK,in 1987.

This system is written in perl and it is planned to be released either as public domain or under a GPL license at some time in the future.

The portion that captures user data, interfaces to the weather data source and performs the tracking calculations was written by Troy M. Campbell, KC0MIC, LtCol CAP-USAF Auxilliary

Interfacing the the resulting calculations to Google Maps(tm) was accomplished by Keith Kaiser, WA0TJT.

The weather data source used for the calculations is http://www.arl.noaa.gov/ready
